43.7% of our roads will be in “very poor” condition within the next 9 years.

There is no identified funding to repair 72 sites and $42M worth of damage remaining from the 2016-17 and 2023 storms.

About Us

The Santa Cruz County Roads Committee is a group of citizens organizing to fix our roads, before it’s too late.

We believe that more of the taxes that we already payshould be going towards roads, the service that we use the most.

We are not willing to accept new taxes by local government that fails to prioritize our needs.

We believe in preventative maintenance and preparing for the next disaster before it happens.

We believe that no less than 10% of our County’s Discretionary General Fund Revenues, incl. property taxes, sales taxes, and hotel/Airbnb taxes, must go towards roads until they are in a state of good repair.
